Perfectly suited for high-volume environments, The Pro incorporates 4MB of standard memory and are capable of producing large quantities of full-color ID cards at industry-leading speeds. The Pro, with its built-in lamination station, has the ability to print and laminate a full-color card in just 40 seconds. Plus, when batch printing, Pro prints one card while simultaneously laminating another, thereby allowing it to produce up to 180 full-color, laminated cards per hour!

Utilizing an advanced dye-sublimation/resin thermal transfer print technology, the Pro print digital images onto either side of a card. Their edge-to-edge printing feature allows you to print photos and graphics to the edge of the card -- creating an infinite host of design possibilities.

A high-speed, built-in lamination station is the main component that differentiates the Pro-L printer from the Pro model. With this feature, Pro-L has the capacity to laminate both sides of a card and implement any number of advanced security features. This is accomplished by offering several different overlaminate choices, including FARGO's clear or holographic PolyGuard, which provides maximum durability and protection from abrasion and color fading. With the advanced technology of Pro-L, you can include some of today's most sought-after features in your ID cards. Both a smart card encoder and/or a dual high/low-coercivity magnetic stripe encoder can be built into the printer and integrated directly into the printing process. These options allow you to use your ID cards for access control, time and attendance, vending and more.

SmartGuard is literally the "key" to your security needs. This optional feature allows you to encode a custom access card which, when inserted into the printer, provides access only to those who have been authorized to print. This patent-pending feature controls output and provides accountability for the production of all cards.

The new SmartShield option is yet another FARGO innovation and is available exclusively on Pro-L. This option allows you to print custom transparent images onto cards which reflect light when viewed at an angle.
